Explore the Barn at Stenton

IMG_9361.JPG

Stenton's Barn was built in 1787 while George Logan lived there. It is a two-story barn that had animal stalls on the first floor and storage for crops and tools on the second floor. Today, no animals live in the barn, but you can see 18th century tools displayed on the second floor.

Instructions: Look at the different sections of the barn. Click on the icons to learn more about each tool. Think about why these tools were important back then. What were they used for? What do we use instead today?

Note to Teachers: Assign students a section of the barn to explore and complete the corresponding worksheet. Google Doc and Google Form worksheets for each section are linked below to add to your Google Classroom. To use the Google Form, select "Use Template" to send the form and manage responses.
